Well.....kinda tough to cretique it. We seemed to be of similar mindset. Often people sitting in the same spot have very diffrent views of the landscape before them.....
In this case, we seemed to have almost exactly the SAME vision while we were up on that hillside pointing down at the falls. We must have been shoulder to shoulder when we took these images.
I too liked the composition, I think the only thing that needs work is within the post processing. Taking the shine off the green will calm your capture down (I had to do the same (above) to keep the composition working.) This allows the pieces of the landscape to be exactly that....complamentary peices...not focal points.
So, in retrospect, we have a unique cretique situation here. Wonder what others think of the diffrences between the files? The devil can (and often is) in the details. PP is the obvious diffrence, and I have a very minor set of diffrences in the frame on the right side including a tad more of the rock at the bottom left, as well as including some of the rock on the right side of the frame from the canyon wall. I softened the light in the tree and the rock, putting the focus back on the waterfall.
