Latley while I have been taking photos outside of the local wildlife my camera keeps locking up. I have two can 40d Canon camera's. Every now and then they lock up. I have
to eject the battery and put it back in to get the camera to reset. Is
anyone else having this problem??

Hey Chris,
I haven't had that problem since the old D30s. Are you using battery grips or just main bodies? Does it happen under the same conditions (high humidity) or different conditions? Does it happen with both bodies or primarily just one?

I have a couple of ideas once I hear your answers to those questions.

That should not be happening. Doesn't happen with my 40D. Is it an error 99? Do you remove the lens without turning the camera off? Are you using Canon lenses? Do you have the latest firmware?

Strange, I have not had this problem at all with my 40D. Are you using Canon batteries? I do have a grip on mine but occassionally only shoot it on one battery when I get caught short. Does it happen with both bodies? If so is there another common denominator like a certain lens, flash, remote cord, etc?
