I think I'll pick this up at the library when it comes in. Reviewed in today's New York Times:

What Dogs See, Smell, and Know

I am still trying to get my dogs to read a book about how to think like a human. Not working so far and I have given up on the cats!

I had a book like this on cats once, but every time I started to read it I kept falling asleep.

Think like a human??? Sigh...I used to have a cat named Roger who I was convinced would some day put down his mug of coffee and start explaining derivatives to me. I really had a hard time with them in calc...but I am CONVINCED that Rog had that whole concave up/down thing perfect. Sadly, he never got that chance.

Having said that, I think I may take a look at it when it comes out. Another book that I liked that talked about understanding dogs was called, "How to Speak Dog." I learned more about it in dealing with Mahkayla than just about anything else (outside of a really good class that helped me interpret it properly).
