No...you are a bit early. I will be in Bryce from the 20th to the 24th (that may get cut to the 23rd) and in Zion from the 24th to the 27 (that may become the 23rd to the 26th). LOL, I am VERY anxious about the trip. I have never been there before, and I am not sure what it is going to be like hiking with my mobility-limited family.
You are going to be wearing your trigger finger out here shooting pictures in these National Parks, better bring some very serious memory storage along.
Marty - the color on your shots above is amazing - we don't see that kind of color here in the desert. It really makes me want to get up north for color...
James - you will be fine in Zion as long as your family can ride the shuttle. You can make a whole day of riding the shuttle to a stop - getting out and walking a few hundred yards at fantastic scenery, and going to the next stop. It is really nice.
For longer hikes follow the river trail like Tucson Jim suggested. It is flat, wide, smooth walking. Even the trail to the start of the narrows is wide, flat and fairly level for over the first mile.
We need to see if we can greet James here when he is out West, if it is within the scope of his plans, I know we would all out here like to do this. Tell us more abhout your workshop, James?
A great set of high country shots Marty. The last mountain shot is incredible. The colors are gorgeous there. We will probably peak this coming week, around my area of TN anyway. I hope to someday make the trip out west, there is much natural beauty out your way. wl
