Turkey Birds

After a short visit with Woody yesterday I headed down to lake Heron and found a few Turkeys.

Nice shots of a weary bird Roger. Looks like you handled the harsh lighting conditions pretty well. Were you shooting from a blind?

No on the blind, I saw them across a field so I got up under a bush and waited on them. Probably around 45 minutes and they were in range.

Just think, this is the bird that Benjamin Franklin wanted for our National bird. Although the turkeys are interesting and taste better, the Bald Eagle makes a better national symbol.
