Linda's latest collage for friends that own Arabians. Thought you might enjoy it. Gorgeous animals. I'm scheduled to photograph them in the Spring.

The collage:

When you go to do your shoot, would you mind picking up EVG GENTRY and dropping him off at my place on your way home! Can't wait to see your images.
If you make a mistake and pick the wrong horse, make it Pyro Thyme SA!
They will be so fun to photograph.

I like that a lot. It also looks like it took a ton of work. Does she crank these out in minutes, hours, or days? Beautiful piece. I hope you sell big prints and canvases from this.

Preston,
it usually takes Linda a couple of days -- part-time -- to produce something like this. Some of it is just put it together and see if it works. If it doesn't, move it around and get a feel for the overall dynamics of the piece. There's a lot of stuff here: the relative size of each image, background images vs foreground, color balance, movement.

This one was planned as a large print and they've already ordered 10 and want a huge print as well for an office wall-hanging. The horses are just gorgeous and with subjects like that, it's hard to create something that isn't beautiful but I think Linda has a particular talent for these.

Thanks for the comments. I'll be sure to pass them along.

Jim

Just a thought...if you took the names off and expanded the bottom of the canvas and threw a 2010 year at a glance calendar on it you could mass market it...maybe 20x30.

We actually do a custom calendar for these folks every year -- in addition to the Arabians, they own and breed Rotties and they owned Rowdy's sister, Dyna, who passed away in June of this year. I'm not sure whether they mass-market the calendar but last year we printed 1,000 of them in 11X14 size.

Stuart is with Frazier Yachts, one of the largest yacht sales/brokerage firms in the world. He has a lovely home in Newport, RI on 7 acres, another in Ft. Lauderdale and a third in New Zealand where he was born. He is the personal representative at Frasier for Paul Allen, the Microsoft co-founder.

We've been doing their calendars for 10 years. This year is going to be difficult because they last both Dyna and one of my favorite guys, Elvis (BIS BISS CH Keerocka's Entertainer) this year.

Not the pricing of the eighties but still a good price for a YEARLING filly! We all know there is money moving out there. Hope next year more flows our way.

When you go there in spring, I would love to see more pictures of LLC MAGDIVINE. You could stick her in your vehicle and bring her here too!

If wishes were horses, beggars would ride.!

Nice collage Linda!
