Now that Juneau's puppies are 10 days old, I thought it would be appropriate to introduce you to each of them before the major changes start taking place like eyes and ears opening (10-14 days from birth), walking (any day now) and greater interaction with the world in general.

Here they are in birth order: first up, Mr. Blueberry. He's the chunk of the litter at just over 2 lbs. and he's gotten the nickname "chunky monkey" because he's a bit rotund.

Next up is Mr. Redneck (he is, after all, a Florida dog) who is the more svelte, lithe and sinewy of the two boys. As you can see, he still hasn't gotten out of that bra.

The third born was Ms Plum. She is also the most petite of the crew at 1 lb 13 oz. She is the darkest of all the puppies in terms of markings.

Next is Ms Margarita or as she is also known, Ms Attitude. She came out into this world and promptly told me to stop drying her and put her on mom's nipple. She's a very compact, very beefy girl.

And last, but truly not least, is Ms Peaches. She is the second heaviest puppy in the litter weighing in at one oz less than Blue. She is just a much bigger girl than the others and has a very blocky head and a superior appetite.

Right now, our plan is to keep one of the girls and at the moment, we're looking at both Ms Margarita and Ms Peaches although it's really too early to tell anything of importance regarding structure. Still, it will be interesting to see how they all turn out over the next 7 weeks.

Enjoy them now. Changes are a comin'.

Jim

So fun to see the growth of these pups. Looks like nutrients are not lacking. Coat look fantastic! Cannot wait to see more images. Love the names.
