Well, I have to return the D90 I have on loan today, so I went out last evening and took some images at a nearby horse farm. I'd like to send one of these to my mom for Christmas but not sure which one to send. Which one do you prefer?
Here are just a couple from the set:

Thanks,
Marie

I like the second one best. Don't like the straw toothpick in the first one.

I know next to nothing about horses, but I prefer the pose in the first one. The placement of the trees in the background is unfortunate though.

Thanks, Preston and Jim!
Darn trees...well that is my fault, but I thought with the shallow DOF, I could get away with it...lol!
This particular horse seemed to enjoy posing for me. Even when it was dinner time!

cut the straw out of his/her mouth and use the first one.

Marie,
straw toothpick notwithstanding in #1, I prefer the second one overall both in terms of composition and pose.

Thanks, everyone! Really appreciate the suggestions.
Think I'll go with #2, only because it seems closer to being a better shot-no trees, no straw....

Thanks again,
Marie
