That is amazing! These are wonderful shots. I particularly like the second photo with Willow going through the poles. I was thinking initially that I might like the ribbons a bit lower, but I think in hindsight that it may actually have distracted from the dog. Nicely done!
I'm working on stage two of this shoot coming up on the 11th. It will be some studio stuff, but I'm working on a set with the poles in a semi-circle with them going from high in back to lower in front.
Love the idea, don't love the HDR. It makes a really funky cyan cast on everything. I think it could have been really cool shot with a flash to expose the dog well, fill in the shadows and richen up the skies
I don't love the HDR either, but thought I'd give it a shot.
I had an AB400 for the posed stuff, but not for the actual weaving. I suppose I could have set it up for that too, but I didn't want to fiddle with recycle times and such.
Your problem with the AB's is not the recycle time, but, the flash synch times. I don't know if you could get enough shutter speed to freeze a running dog. I would do your regular flashes off camera as they will synch higher. I know mine has a high speed synch. You just can't motor drive it.
