Hi All!
Just returned from a trip that included a one day stop in Costa Rica. While there, I took a two hour long cruise in the mangroves near the Tarcoles River where we spotted this Wood Stork. This was my first real opportunity to see and photograph birds like these. I also was lucky enough to see a pair of Scarlet Macaws, although I was not able to capture any pictures as stunning as Durwood's from Belize.
Needless to say, my wife and I plan to return next year for a longer stay.
