Nicely done -- as usual. I see this guy is still wearing his winter coat. I take it that it is still a little chilly up in the high country?
Jim
As expected I found them on a South facing slope. The North facing sides still have snow. On Friday I was up on Cumbres Pass in the high country and still 5 foot of snow and the day I was there shooting snow removal with a snow cat for the railroad we had a 8 inch snow storm.
I will post a couple of the snow removal shots in the general forum.
That probably explains why Heron Lake campground doesn't open until May 15th. Had a window of opportunity this week, but when I tried to reserve a campground, the earliest date was May 15th. Have to try later in the summer.

Did you go to Heron Lake ???? If you did how about posting some Osprey shots.
When I tried to reserve a spot in any of the Campgrounds, the earliest date listed was May 15th, so I figured they were all still closed for the winter.

We'll try again in a few weeks.

Call me at 575-756-2416 when you get in the Chama Valley and I will try to help you find the best places for shooting Osprey and the cliffs for Turkey Vultures.
