Snow Cat removing snow-"snowstorm"

On Friday I was on Cumbres Pass in Colorado taking photos for the railroad of moving the snow off the railroad tracks, getting line open for the 2010 season. It was snowing with high wind the day I was up there. This storm brought 8 inches of new snow. The way this is done is you take the snow off of the tracks to about 1 foot and then let Mother Nature finish the job.

This is the mountain we were working on. You can see the cut for the railroad tracks a little over 3/4 of the was to the top. the large cut is the road and then above it is the railroad tracks.
