I will bet, indeed. Every time I look at it, I think of just how lucky Karl was that the fox was in that exact place. It is almost like a flood light on him.

Thanks for the nice comments! Like so many photos, I admit I was lucky on this one. The sun broke through the clouds just before it went down - casting this light on the tiny fox.
I paid my dues to get this one though - I've spent hours under a mobile blind on this den every chance I've had in the last 2 weeks - as the kits are much smaller than they are in the other 2 dens I've found locally. The weather has been cloudy, dark, rainy, and windy the whole time. Four of the 6 days I've sat on the den I've walked away without seeing the kits - only twice have I had any luck... but this night ended with some great light. Now I'm happy!
I hope that you don't think I was saying that it was dumb luck that you got these shots. I know that it was a result of patience and skill. I was just saying that the light was just perfect - and that you were fortunate to be at the right time and place!

James - no problems... I didn't take anything wrong, I knew exactly what you were saying. No matter what, there's still an element of luck, though - the sun didn't have to come out at that minute and the fox didn't have to be there. As for the mobile blind, I may have called it by the wrong name. I have a couple blinds from NatureScapes - one is a "doghouse" blind I can set up and leave and the other just drapes over me and the camera/tripod wherever and whenever I want. I was using the one that drapes over me... thus I called it mobile. - Karl
Thanks, Karl. Again, nice work. I actually saw some things like this at LL Bean when we were driving back from Maine (at the large store in Freeport). For folks who may be interested, I did a quick search on Naturescapes blinds. They have a bunch of cool products.
