Getting ready to do some portraits of Missy and thought I'd experiment some first.

Gidget was the only one willing to be the guinea pig today. Once momma gets home, we'll get some of Missy.

Two images each shown full frame and cropped. Otherwise SOOC and exported from LR3.

This is my first time playing with these modifiers even though I've had them for a while so I welcome any feedback.

Next up will be the snoot.

Jim,
nice effects. But even nicer model! It appears that Ms. Gidget has mastered the art of being supremely cute . Also love the backdrop. That would work great with my Rottie portraits.

Thanks Jim. The Backdrop is from Ace Photo in Ashburn, VA. They have an online store too.

Gidget is adorable! Lovely shots and I agree with Jim, that is a beautiful backdrop.

Hey Jim,

Are you using just a grid in this photo and no other modifiers? I have been using a grid for a hair light but have not been using one otherwise. How many degrees is the grid?

James

James,

Just the grid. If memory serves, this was 10 degrees, but I did shots with 10-20-30-40.
