2.5 agility trials and a hunt test in 6 days for me and half a trial for Tammy.

The hunt test was quite a learning experience and a whole lot more challenging than any other dog sport event I've done.

The vegetation was anywhere from 3-7 feet tall over much of the course which made getting shots of the dogs quite an effort. I understand that not all hunt test fields are quite so over grown though.

Had one handler showing her dog in breed the next day so she dressed it in spandex for the hunt test to keep the coat pretty. Nearly killed the dog in the process from heat though.

I was panning along with a flushed bird (standing where I was supposed to be) when I suddenly found myself looking down the barrel of a shotgun. Thankfully, the gunner saw me at the same time I saw him and pulled up.

Kicking myself for not pushing the button, but I was too busy ducking.

Tammy, had a great day at her event and did some impromptu portraits. I swear she's a prodigy behind the camera! Never studied anything to do with portraits, yet produces work on the level it took me several years to get to.

Back to the grind stone with a private sitting tomorrow and possible another trial this weekend.

Wow! Jim, you certainly have been busy! Thats good, though! I don't know what I would do if I found a shotgun staring me in the face! Maybe would be in need of a change of clothing!
