Hey Folks,

I installed a 30day free trial of a piece of software, which of course, I have used once and got too insanely busy to retry. Is it possible to delete the fact that it was ever installed? I want to make a second stab at it and don't want to pay 100+ for the possibility that I may want to purchase it (or not).

Often, you can get a new trial SN just by asking.

Also, you could request a trial with a new email address and get one that way.

First, back up all your data and deactivate all your licenses. Then reformat your hard disk. Do a fresh install of Windows. Reinstall your software. Restore your data. Done.

Although Preston's recommendation will certainly get rid of the Registry key the trial version set when you installed it, requesting a new SN/key is a whole lot easier. I've done it a couple of times.

That's what i was trying to say.

There are (depending on what you have installed)files on the hard drive and entries in the registry that will linger after an uninstall.

If you can write me the name of the program, I can do a little research and see if there are known ways to wipe them clean for another round of trials.
