Hi,

I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Karmen and I live in Louisiana. Photography has been a hobby of mine for many years and I have just started looking at the business side of it. I was a groomer for 8 years and now stay at home and homeschool my 2 children, ages 13 and 10. This has given me more time to focus on pet photography.

Here are a couple of pictures of my own dogs. I hope I can get them to work.

Welcome aboard! Glad to have new members around. You have two beautiful dogs. I see that you are in Louisiana. Were you impacted heavilly by Katrina (I am sorry if you get asked this constantly...)?

Hi James,

Thanks for the warm welcome. I actually don't get that question asked much, but I am glad that people do still think about it. Only because after a year...things are still so bad in some areas and it is really sad. We didn't get it to bad. We had some tree and fence damage,but that was it here and pretty much the same around this area...just trees down everywhere. We just took a trip almost into New Orleans a couple of weeks ago for a baseball tournament and it was so sad that things are still so bad for some. It was a real eye opener for me. We are about an hour from New Orleans and even though we see it on the news all of the time, our life is normal so we tend to forget...whew I feel for those in that area and wish there was something that I could do for them.

Anyway, sorry about the soapbox, thanks for asking and thanks for the warm welcome.

I guess I still think of Katrina as if it was yesterday. I am glad that you were not personally too affected by the situation.
