OK, very distant relations. Im interested in knowing viewer's opinions of my photo I recently scanned from a 35 mm negative from a Minolta SLR of a mother and child chimpanzee I photographed in Gombe Stream Nat'l Park, Tanzania, East Africa in 1990. I know its not quite up there with the professional quality images Ive seen here, but personally, I like it! However Im biased of course! Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. It is great to see new faces here. I took some time to go to your website, which has a lot of nice photos in it.

As to this particular photograph, I like it a lot. It has a very natural, tender look to it. The only critique that I have is about the processing. I think that if I were processing it myself, I would brighten it up a bit, and perhaps use a touch of shadow/highlights as well.

I agree with James. This photo has alot of potential but i think it should be a little brighter. The only chance I get to shoot primates is in the zoo. I hope that one day I will have the chance to shoot in Africa. I can sit in front of these guys for hours and hours with my camera and never get bored. I hope you keep posting, I look forward to seeing more of your work.
