Hey Guys,

This is Maya. We are still trying to get her adopted and some of these photographs will be going on a flyer for her that we will pass out around the neighborhood over the coming weeks. We have had a couple of bites on her, but honestly, the folks seemed 'marginal.'

Hopefully someone that we think will be acceptable will pop up in the near future. I feel a bit upset that we still have not been able to get her adopted. The kittens went like hotcakes (as was expected)...Maya has been a bit more of a challenge.

Cheers
James

How can anyone resist that face. Great shots James and she is a real cutie, I hope her forever home comes along real soon!

Love your backdrop, what is it made from?

How on earth do you get a cat to sit still? She is very pretty!

She is lovely! I like the third image the most. You are certainly wonderful to help find a home for her.

Hey All,

Thanks for the comments. I was fairly pleased with the set. Today, I made a poster that I am going to put up around the neighborhood. I hope that someone with the holiday spirit will decide to take her into their home.

As to how I am able to get her to sit still....LOL...there is no sitting still at all. Cats are more difficult than dogs because they do their own thing - and are less motivated by praise than dogs are. However, I find that they all like SOMETHING. We were playing with a wand that she enjoyed following. In the 45 minute shoot, I say I got about 5 or 6 usable shots. Not my best showing, but considering how active she is, not bad at all.

Cheers
James

Maya may have a home, everyone! A young woman in the neighborhood saw the signs we have been plastering and met Maya for the first time last night. They spent two hours together tonight, and she left a shirt with Maya to sleep on and smell.

So glad to hear it James! Sounds really promising. My fingers are crossed this home will work out for Maya. Let us know!

Thanks for the thoughts. I am very hopeful about this. The young woman called tonight stating that she was going to have to wait a week or so. She will still continue to come visit regularly until the adoption is finalized.

James
