Still digging through the archives. Maybe by my next trip, I will actually have finished going through these shots. My sib got a beautiful shot of this guy jumping for a field mouse. I am trying to purloin it from him, but it has been slow.

James,

I like this photograph. You were able to capture the coyote paying attention to something other than you. Also the shallow DOF helps to separate the coyotes head from the background helping to keep focus on the coyote.

Really nice James. I like everything about it. The coyotes around here are rarely seen. They hide.

I love the colors in this, goes perfectly with the coyote. Another one I think boy that would be fun to paint!! Nice job James!

Thank you all for the compliments. I was definitely pleased by this series. We were really given a treat - I love watching canines hunt for mice. We were fortunate in that this guy came toward us and was quite comfortable with us present. My sib has a great shot of this guy diving for the mice - focusing not on where he was (such as I did), but where he was going to be...
