Hey Folks,

I may be doing another pet photographer interview (not mentioning who yet as I don't like to say things until I am sure it is happening), and I am asking this - based on Helmi's interview, what are you looking for in a future pet photography interview?

Cheers
James

Great!
Simply - Who, what, when, where and why.

Who got you started with animals?
What about them makes photography challenging, pleasurable and promising?
When did you choose animals?
Where do you shoot?
and of course why are pets, (animals) the main focus of your photography?

Added - favorite lighting, lenses and general equipment questions.

As a newbie to the art, I would love to find out more of the technical stuff, such as: favorite camera(s) and lenses used, best shooting surfaces/backgrounds for indoors as well as indoor lighting(I don't think I'll ever get that right!). Tips on working alone, to get expressions, how long a shoot normally takes, how they advertise for business and as I'm still trying to figure it out, I can never hear too much about aperature/iso/white balance settings, etc. Boring I know, but so many folks get pictures that astonish me and I'd love to know how! Also, can I still access the Helmi articles? I tried to find them but can't.

Hey Guys,

This is both very helpful. I will definitely incorporate some of this into my next interview.

Michelle,
Have you read Helmi's interview? Some of the things you asked about - particularly light set-up, are discussed in her interview.

James

Hi James,
As I mentioned in my previous post, I haven't been able to locate Helmi's interview articles. I would LOVE to read them, so if you can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it! Thanks

I would love to see that interview too. Thanks James!

I also agree with what has been said, I'd like articles explaining the technical side of things mostly.
