LOL, don't be sorry. It is cool no matter how you look at it. I have such a hard time with birds that I am always happy to see folks who can get them.

The one critique I will mention is that I think that this should could use a bit of brightness. Very well done.

I have trouble with optimizing photos for the web. Prints all look great. How's this for brightness?

Much much better. Let me ask you a question, do you tag the files in sRGB? I have found that a lot of the images that I have had did not look so good when I posted them in Adobe RGB.

Maybe that's the problem.
I usually work in Prophoto RGB(16 bit) but change to Adobe RGB for web stuff. Here's the original in sRGB.

Jim,
Thank you!Thank you!Thank you!
This problem has been driving me nuts. All my web photos have looked dull and lifeless and I could not figure out why.I just converted several to sRGB and they look like the originals. Here's an example.
This is in Adobe RGB

This is in sRGB

The difference in the red head color is amazing.

Hey Joe,

Glad to be of help. I was suffering from exactly the same issues...every shot was looking beautiful in print, but when I posted it here, I would get the same response..."looks dull and lifeless."

Nice bird shots. Yes the second osprey looks much better. Always use srgb for the web unless you want the duller for some reason.
