Absolutely awesome shots. Any of these would be proudly displayed on my wall. I think that I am most thouched by the first composition - I like the added element of the 2nd goat.

LOL, I aim to please. Actually, it is the first morning I have had the opportunity to 'laze about' and actually read the posts. There seems to be a lot more activity recently, which is really great...however, it also means that I miss more of them.

BTW, Tony, that 3rd shot is quite excellent as well. I still have not seen a mountain goat in all of my trips to Yellowstone. It is something that I would like to see.

exposure and WB is very difficult on these guys, especially when the light is changing all the time and clouds are drifting around. I lost a bit in the faces and they are a bit cool, but that's what you get when you shoot auto WB, to me, unless youre shooting raw, you have to shoot auto when conditions are changing by the second. the kid/nanny shot was lit for about 10 seconds then it went away, not much time to check highlights. . .

In any event, thanks for looking. If youre ever out here in the sping and early summer, i'll take you to see goats. . .

very nice, just wondering where you found them, have photographed them on Mt Evans Colorado, but figured the snows still to deep there.

Very nice shots! I've seen a bunch of Mountain Goats out here in the Colorado mountains. They have wonderful faces and aren't too shy around humans (so one can get more front shots than butt shots).

I love #3 - quite the excellent image. Could 1 & 2 take a little more sharpening? They look a little soft to me.

I like the 2nd one best of this excellent series....you can almost see the fact he is full of beans....
