This is an experiment using Roman's HDR blend tutorial. Feel free to critique but realize I chose not to crop, reduce noise or adjust any other parameters. My intent is to gain experience in using this blending technique. This is a vacation photo - something to practice on. The RAW file is available here: http://www.fototime.com/1FFE3B7F2FA6B7F/orig.cr2
I would appreciate seeing how you, Roman, and anyone else, would approach the enhancement of this image using the HDR Blend Tutorial.
My thanks in advance...

#1 the original RAW conversion "as shot" - no adjustments (I did eliminate one dust spot top right)

#2 after following Roman's HDR tutorial

I don't know if folks here find these 'click to enlarge' thumbnails useful. I'm in the habit of using them when I embed images in a post so as to avoid bogging down the loading of a thread for those who use a dial-up connection.

Buddy, that is a great example and an obvious improvement.
Stupid question:
Can you tell me how you get the images to expand by clicking on them though?
Thank's!

Thanks, Marty. And thanks to Roman for sharing his tutorial.

Here's how to do the click-to-expand thumbnail:
1. From within your photo hosting site create and copy the link to your picture.
2. Keep this dummy sequence handy somewhere in your computer:
[ URL=yourlinkhere ][ IMG]yourlinkhere Note I had to insert a few spaces in the dummy link to make it show as text instead of a picture place holder. Leave the spaces out)
3. Paste the dummy sequence into your post, then replace the first 'yourlinkhere' (http through .jpg) with your picture link.
4. Then replace the second 'yourlinkhere' in the sequence with your link.
5. Now replace the "orig" (or whatever the size designation) in the second link with "thumbnail" and Voila!

If that's confusing let me know.

Just a test to see if what I suggested above works.

It does. This is what the link for the test image looks like exactly.

I looked at the image....it really dosnt need blending technique as it basicly is all within the DR of the single shot.

I would actually PP this as normal.

I agree. In my work with this image my normal PP looked similar to the HDR blend. Would love to see what you come up with should you be willing to PP and share.
