jim, walter, & randall - thank you for your feedback. so far it isn't looking like there is a clear consensus on the lower rh rock in particular. i'm basically in the camp with randall in that the rock anchors the image & helps draw the eye into the image. & i completely agree with jim about the streams of water above - it gives the viewer a moment of discovery after he/she has looked at the image initially.

i will do a little playing with the brightness of the moss on the rock in the lower rh corner to see if i think it makes the image stronger. i can see that point both ways - so i will see what it looks like after i've adjusted it.

my plan is to have it printed on metallic paper - so i value the feedback. thanx, guys.
