I am not sure if this was a free texture or one I bought. Textures are easy, overlay them over your photo, then change the blend mode(usually the best ones are overlay and soft light) then create a mask and brush off areas you don't want it on. Its very easy and endless ways to created different looks

OK, so tried the indoors shot again, this time taking the above suggestions into account.
I was not able to spend as much time as I would have liked on it, and I can see plenty of issues, but some expert comments would be very much appreciated!

I know it's boring having the same animals each time, but I live in a very remote area where the number of dogs is strictly controlled and cats and most other pets are not allowed.
As soon as I can get my hands on other subjects (hopefully with less black!) I will give them a try!

Many thanks!

Nice. I like the way you sampled the eye color for the border, but in the first picture the eyes look a little unnatural to me. Did you play with them to boost the saturation?

Glad to see you posting again. I never tire of seeing the same pets. These are charming dogs too. Personally I have a hard time with the colored ball. I would prefer the image to be black and white.

Many thanks for the feedback, much appreciated! Jim, I did increase the saturation in the eyes of both pics, obviously by too much! Peggysue, I will try it as a B+W and see how it looks.
Below is not meant to be anything other than a snapshot of Gryphon the Border Collie and a neighbour, but I thought you might find it a bit different

And I thought my neighbors were dangerous! Good thing you have the BC alarms -- just in case.
