It's always been tough for me to get decent shots of wild turkeys as they don't usually let you get too close; that head is always bobbing so fast; and well, they are black, aren't they?
Dark, in the shade.
Black, that is until he stepped out into the sunlight!
Amazing what a little sunshine will do to those turkey feathers!
Shot 66 seconds apart with Nikon D70/70-200VR & Nikon 1.7x TC @340mm. Very little PP involved, just cropped, a little NR (ISO 400), brightness and contrast, and USM.
